"Finding Anastasia Romanov" Part 2 (11/28/06)

Scene Two: Morocco Smith

Jack looks at Andrew, "He's right, he's dead unless we get him a real doctor immediately." Jack packs up his first aid kit and puts it back in its belt pouch.

"I tink I know summun dat can hep us out!" Kahn declares as remembers an old friend that had graduated from med school just prior to the invasion of Earth. He had planned on moving from the old neighborhood after school and should live somewhere near this area now.

"Good thinking, Kahn," Andrew replies. "We don't have much time, so if your friend can help patch up Morocco while we rescue the others, that may work out well. Who knows, we may need him to help patch up the people we rescue." Andrew looks around again, trying to notice anything that looks problematic. "Jack, Kahn, see if you can help Morocco. Jason, Liza Beth, keep an eye out."

The three heroes notice nothing unusual. Jack does as ordered and prepares to move Smith, he instructs Kahn on what is best for his wounds on how they should move him. Soon, through a little investigative work, the heroes arrive at the small hospital that is the workplace of Dr. Motosuwa Hideki a half hour later.

"1976? 1976 is that you?" he asks. He then snaps at a couple of nurses when he sees that this isn't a social visit. "Nurse! We have a badly wounded man here!"

Some nurses rush over to help Morocco Smith into a wheelchair, taking him from Khan and Jack.

"1976... what's going on? Who are these people?" asks Dr. Motosuwa, or 9831 as he was known in Marketplace.

Jason smirks. He knows Khan is hyper-intelligent. If Khan wanted to speak better, he could. Jason believes Kahn speaks like that to play down what a threat he can be, it puts people at better ease, thinking Khan is nothing more than some loud mouth foreigner. Keeping his thoughts to himself, he keep his senses sharp and alert.Playing the Action card for Awareness

"This was a mistake. You should not have wasted your time. Now Oliver Blackwind will find me for sure...." says Morocco.

Dr. Motosuwa looks shocked. "Did... did he say Oliver Blackwind?" he asks of the heroes while looking around to see if anyone else heard the exchange.

Andrew looks at Dr. Motosuwa and replies, "Yes, yes he did. I take it that's not a good name to hear..." Andrew looks at Morocco, then back at Dr. Motosuwa. "He was critically injured in a rescue attempt, and the rest of our friends are being held captive--some may be as badly injured as he is, or worse. Kahn--1976--remembered you, and you're Morocco's only hope right now. Please help our friend get well. We cannot stay long ourselves, and we can't explain too much as it is. However, if you or any of your trusted staff could tell us something--anything--about Oliver Blackwind, we would sincerely appreciate it."

Deadline is Friday, December 1st
