"Finding Anastasia Romanov" Part 2 (11/24/06)

Scene Two: Morocco Smith

Jason calmly scans the area, marking all possible exit/entry points, places to duck and dive and spots one could disappear into. While doing so, the ninja also tries to pick up on the mood of the place and the people around him. The entrance to the building, along with the two bathrooms and a backroom entrance are the only designed entrances and exits. The windows, however, are little more than holes in the walls with exterior coverings that are propped up during the day to allow natural light entry. The place is dirty, and so are the patrons. The term "dive" comes to mind.

Jack moves to Morocco, "Let me look at that wound friend," he pulls out his first aid kit and attempts to deliver aid to the man. Jack wants to ask questions, but is a stranger to this man, best to let his C.O. handle the debrief. He wonders what did this to Mr. Smith. The wounds look to be gashes, what you might expect to find on a victim of an animal attack.

"Owh! He no look good!" Kahn states concerning Morocco. "One time I saw a docca show wit dis, I know whadda do..." as he moves to help Jack.

It looks as if Morocco, or someone else, had bandaged him before. The bandages are completely saturated with blood, and it looks as if he has been bleeding out for days based on the crusty dry blood around the edges of the bandages. Morocco nearly howls as he gasps when Jack starts removing the bandages which seem to be somewhat stuck to the wounds by the dried blood. It doesn't look like Morocco's efforts to prolong his life have served him well. The wounds are still opened, and they look infected. Jack, with Khan handing him what he needs, begins treating the wounds as best he casn, but the paltry materials in the first aid kit are not what he needs. He needs a doctor, and by the extreme temperature of his body, he needed one yesterday.

Andrew starts to look around the place, trying to see if anyone is paying attention to them (or trying too hard to look like they're not paying attention to them). It doesn't lok as if anyone cares about what is happening at their booth, but he is too distracted by Morocco to give the place a good enough look. He rests his hand on the pommel of his sword, expecting trouble. "Morocco, I know it's rough for you right now, but I need to know where the others are. We'll get you patched up as best we can, and get you and the others out of here."

"There is no hope for me..." begins Morocco. "I have tried hard to hang on long enough to meet you. The others arein very, very big trouble. They have been captured by a man named Oliver Blackwind. He lives in the fenced-in mansion several blocks down the street. We tried to get in to save Anastasia, but we were beaten just inside the building... I do not know if the others even survived. I barely made it out myself..."

"Try not to worry about it now, we are here and we will get her back. You just rest and try and get better..." says Liza Beth.

"I am not worried about myself." says Morocco. "You cannot waste anymore time with me." Morocco puts a bloody hand on Andy's shoulder as Jack and Khan continue their work. "You must go now. Some of them suffered wounds as bad as I did... I am certain they haven't been treated. I do not know why Anastasia fell into the clutches of this man, but you must go and save her. Save the others. My time in this world is through and Allah welcomes me into his kingdom. I have made my peace and I am ready to go."

Jack Markson is no doctor. He is sure that unless he gets proper medical attention immediately, Morocco Smith will die... and soon. He finishes up the bandagin as well as he can, but he is already starting to bleed through the gauze again.

Jack looks at Andrew, "He's right, he's dead unless we get him a real doctor immediately." Jack packs up his first aid kit and puts it back in its belt pouch.

"I tink I know summun dat can hep us out!" Kahn declares as remembers an old friend that was in med school, probably a doctor by now. They had planned on moving from the old neighborhood after school and should live somewhere near this area.
Play card #84 Connection to move things along.
OOC: Garry, I'll leave the details of the connection to you.

"Good thinking, Kahn," Andrew replies. "We don't have much time, so if your friend can help patch up Morocco while we rescue the others, that may work out well. Who knows, we may need him to help patch up the people we rescue." Andrew looks around again, trying to notice anything that looks problematic. "Jack, Kahn, see if you can help Morocco. Jason, Liza Beth, keep an eye out."

I'll make a Perception check to see if I notice anything out of the ordinary.

Jack does as ordered and prepares to move Smith, he instructs Kahn on what is best for his wounds on how they should move him.
for Movement, if this involves a roll, use a possibility on a 9 or less.
