Scene Three: The Mansion

Kahn turns to address his comrade "No wun up heer... Maybe go don an meet wit shuhan, robo-man, an stupit gurl... Dey mussa foun sumtin. Hope sumtin not foun dem..."

The ninja nods to Khan and the two head downstairs. When they get there, they briefly look around and notice shadows and sounds coming from the kitchen. There is no sign of their friends at first, but then Jason hears Andrew speak in hushed tones from the kitchen.

Andrew looks at Liza Beth and Jack and gets their attention. "Liza, keep an eye out for anyone coming. Jack, I need you to cover me while I check out this door."

Andrew approaches the pantry door cautiously. Jack nods and brings his Mac-10's up. Liza Beth nods as well and keeps an eye on both doors for anyone coming.

Jason Aari motions to Khan to quietly follow him to the kitchen and then he slowly advances, his swords in hand.

Andrew turns the knob, only to find it locked, but there is no locking mechanism from the outside, meaning that it can only be locked from the interior.

Is there a "cover" action in TORG? I can't remember from my last reading of the combat rules.

Not really no, however, I would treat covering someone in combat (ie shooting in hopes that the opponents won't shoot back so someone else can change positions) as a use of the maneuver skill. You could say that you are holding out for an Opportunity Attack, which basically means that you will fire when a target presents itself later in a round, effectively passing your turn. You can choose when to use it (in other words you can choose not to fire at the first two guards who enter a room and then pop the third as he passes into range), but holding your action like this gives you a -3 to your action.

Andrew frowns a bit when he realizes that the door's locked. "Damn... there's no lock on this side. Guess we can't pick the lock, then." Andrew looks over at Jack. "Well, got anything to open this door? Seems odd that a pantry door would be only lockable from the inside."

Jack's face lights up with a sly grin, "I have plenty of toys to blow it open with now. I can also just bust it in, as could our beautiful rear guard here, I'd imagine."

Liza Beth looks back at Jack with a little smile on her lips and says"Yes I am sure I can if needed.And I think our friends maybe in that room or something they don't want anyone to get,so I say we should find out now."

Silently, Kahn concentrates his mental energies on the door, in an effort to open it.

Please have Kahn make a psionic manipulation check and use his Telekinesis to manipulate the door (maybe the lock?) to try to open the door.

The bionic commando continues to 'cover' the door with his machine pistols.
