"Finding Anastasia Romanov" Part 2 (04/13/07)

Scene Three: The Mansion

Kahn eyes the doors suspiciously, not wanting to be blown up again. "We shud check dowas befow try an open..." he states, "Den we move trew roomz like watch trew time..."

The two stealthy heroes search the rooms quickly in a clockwise order. They find that most of the doors lead to identical bedrooms with closets and patio exits in them. They find nothing of interest in what they determine are probably guest rooms. The last room is a bathroom shared by the bedrooms in this wing.

The entire upper floor is cleared with no signs of the people they came here for.

Kahn turns to address his comrade "No wun up heer... Maybe go don an meet wit shuhan, robo-man, an stupit gurl... Dey mussa foun sumtin. Hope sumtin not foun dem..."

Jack, Andrew and Liza Beth

Liza Beth carefully moves into the room and starts to head for the other door slowly making sure to keep and eye out for danger. Andrew follows Liza Beth, keeping an eye out for any potential threats as they advance to the room. Jack Markson-One brings up the rear, ready to bring the full 9mm furry of his two newly acquired sub machine guns to bear on any hostile unlucky enough to enter his field of fire.

After a short trip through the doors and a small hallway, they find themselves in a massive kitchen. It appears big enough to staff a whole team of chefs. Aside from the way they came in and the main entrance that leads back to the front doors, there are only two other doors in this room. One leads outside, to the back of the home. The heroes can see a large kenel with guard dogs in it. There seems to be a large animal dead in the pen with them. Metal gleams from inside the cage, though what the metal is can't be determined from this vantage point.

The only other door is likely a pantry to store food. The shelves built into the walls of the kitchen seem to eliminate the need for a pantry however.

Andrew looks at Liza Beth and Jack and gets their attention. "Liza, keep an eye out for anyone coming. Jack, I need you to cover me while I check out this door." Andrew approaches the pantry door cautiously.

I am assuming you are referring to the pantry door. If I am wrong and you are approaching the back door, please let me know ASAP

Yep.

Jack nods and brings his Mac-10's up.

Is there a "cover" action in TORG? I can't remember from my last reading of the combat rules.
