"Finding Anastasia Romanov" Part 2 (02/28/07)

Scene Three: The Mansion

Jack gathers up two Mac-10's and all the ammo he can for them on his way to the door. Near the door, he straps his vicker's machine gun over his shoulder again and arms himself with the two Mac-10s. He sticks with Andrew, entering if he does.

Liza Beth carefully moves through the doors and into the room,as she keeps her guard up and is ready for anything as she looks around the place to make sure it is safe. Jason shadows Liza Beth also being very much on the look out.

Kahn advances cautiously after Jason and Liza Beth have entered, not wanting to set off anymore traps. He turns to Andy as he and Jack approach the entrance and in a hushed (for Kahn) voice says, "Waya you tink dey at, shuhan? Jus tell Kahn and Kahn go get 'em! Kahn take ninja too, no bad guys take down Kahn wit ninja backup!"

The heroes have regrouped inside the atrium of the mansion. It is a massive room dominated by the large and decorative staircase big enough for the two dead giants outside to travel up. Portraits can be seen at the top of the staicase, though the plaques are too small to read from down here. The portraits are of dark blue-skinned people. Andy knows from past experiences that those are most likely elves. Aylish elves anyway, not the elves of the D&D games he played with his friends less than a year ago. There are three ways to leave this room excluding the stairwell leading upstairs. Off to both the left and right the group can spy cooridors with doors on one side of the hallway and windows looking out on the other. Directly behind the siarcase there are a set of double doors sitting opened just enough to make out the massive kitchen beyond.

"I can't say for sure," Andrew replies to Khan. "I'd guess they'd be in a well-defended part of the place. Or at least somewhere that they wouldn't be able to escape easily." Andrew takes a cautious look around at everything noticing very fine and detailed artwork and vases filled with flowers everywhjere. The explosion that hit Khan doesn't seem to have scorched the interior of the mansion at all. "Kahn, Jason --you check upstairs. The rest of you follow me and we'll check downstairs."

Liza Beth turns and looks at Andrew and says, "That sounds good to me... so let's hurry." Then she looks at Kahn and Jason and says, "Be careful guys."

She moves over next to Jack, to follow Andrew wherever he plans to lead them.

Khan's O damage has healed. To answer a question Clint asked me, if you wish to wield two weapons, you can. For instance, Jack now has two Mac-10s. He can use the Many-On-One rule to shoot both guns at a single target. This runs through ammo faster, but also gives you a slightly better chance of hitting. If he wanted to shoot at two separate targets then we go to the One-On-Many rule which will increase the individual targets defenses, but gives you the opportunity to hit multiple targets in a round. Either way you still only roll once.

Jack wants to question Andrew, but won't at this point. Splitting up seems like a bad idea, but the Ninja's should be able to stay alive, he supposes.

Stay alert and follow Andrew and Liza's lead, keeping the rear covered.

A silent nod is the only response as Jason blends into the shadows.

Stealthing my way upstairs to look around. Playing 'Action' Card

Silently wondering how good of an idea it is to split the force, Kahn dutifully follows behind his stealthy companion, but at a distance, ready for an unseen enemy to spring out and attack. He may be the greatest martial artist on Earth, but he's no ninja...

Seeing that the others start to head for the upstairs Liza Beth Looks at Andrew to see if he start to move and when he dosen't she says"Andrew I think it is best that we too start to moving because I we are just wadting time standing here."

Andrew nods and responds "You have point, Liza. Let's get moving." Andrew switches the rifle's selector to single shot once more.

" Sure thing" says Liza Beth with her sword at the ready as she carefully starts to heading for the right cooridor to the door.

Jack follows, in the rear, trying to remain quiet and alert, watching their six.
